She was born November 9, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walter and Mary (Baker) Humphrey. Suzanne loved to cook, especially for big Thanksgiving dinners for the family. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and loved her pets, Beau and Muffin. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church and later Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She also made prayer quilts at the Zion United Church of Christ, which Louis attended. Suzanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and the rock who held the family together. Survivors include her children, Christopher Umstead (Stacy), Mary Rappaport (Gregg), and Bill Umstead (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Laura Umstead; grandchildren, Matthew (Dana), Michael (Elizabeth), John, Mark, and Katie (Danny); and great-grandson, Devon. I'm so sorry for your loss. Suzanne was married to my Uncle Lou. She was always so kind and loving to him. She was also kind and loving to my Uncle Don. She was always so warm and welcoming any time I visited with my family. She will be missed.
