I'll never lose the memories we made in the short time we were together at Walter Reed. Whether it's you catching frogs off the side of the creek with a rod. Playing cards on the front porch and giving out nicknames and just bringing everyone together. You motivated everyone. You were always willing to help anyone that needed it. You are a skilled craftsman, repairing my wife's grandmother's antique table was a blessing. Words can't describe how much you were loved and appreciated by everyone. And you loved hard too. You loved your boys so much. I probably won't be able to make it out to Nebraska to see you one last time but I'm so thankful to have met a hero like you. I understand freedom isn't free but I wish you were still with us. You will be greatly missed and not forgotten. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones.
