DELBERT C. CASE, 96, of rural Marcus, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Heartland Care Center in Marcus, Iowa.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Marcus Amherst Cemetery. The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.
Delbert was born on August 5, 1929 at LeMars, Iowa to Oscar and Ruth (Martin) Case. He graduated from Union High School in 1947. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1948-1952, with an honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Mary Connor on October 14, 1953 at LeMars, Iowa.
He worked for Walnut Grove Products in Cherokee for many years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, siblings Jerry, Wayne, and Gail, two daughters-in-law Hui Suk Case and Evelyn Case, and a grandson Joey.
Delbert is survived by his children, Thomas (Laurin) Case of Missoula, Montana, Gary (Von) Case of Amber, Iowa, and Blane Case of Lincoln, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren Seth Case of Gypsum, Colorado and Daniel Case of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother Steve (Pamela) case of Sioux City, Iowa.
