Funeral services for Doris J. Zobel age 83 of West Point, NE will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE with Pastor John Gierke officiating. A luncheon will follow the service and interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Bancroft, NE after lunch. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be directed to Bright Horizons or the Orphan Grain Train, both in Norfolk, NE. Doris Jane Perry Repschlaeger Zobel was born on October 29, 1942 in Shelby, NE to Morris and Elizabeth (Kilgore) Perry. She was baptized on April 7, 1949 and later confirmed on April 14, 1957. Doris graduated from West Point High School in 1960. On April 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Repschlaeger at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Ken passed away on May 26, 1991. Doris married Gene Zobel on March 12, 1994 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft, NE. She was a devoted housewife, and bookkeeper. Her greatest accomplishment was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Doris was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Survivors include- Husband-Gene Zobel of West Point, NE Daughter- Cindy and Bob Scherer of West Point, NE and daughter- Tia and Kyle Knudsen and children-Kennedy and Leo Son-Todd and Jackie Repschlaeger of West Point, NE and children- Darian Repschlaeger Drake Repschlaeger Daughter- Tonya and Jay Knobbe of Meadow Grove, NE and family- Mitchell and Brenda Knobbe and children-Kayson, Beckham, and Koltynn Bridgett and John Freudenburg and daughter-Madelyn Daughter-Joy and Doug Stratman of West Point, NE and children- Cassidee Stratman Carter Stratman Cade Stratman Daughter-Candy and Ryan Hinkel of West Point, NE and daughter- Brittney and Derek Petz Her siblings- Marilyn Beck of Branson, MO Bob and Vivian Perry of Lee's Summit, MO Maxine and Lynn Poppe of Omaha, NE Her in-laws-Theresa Perry of West Point, NE Brenda Perry of West Point, NE Bob and Barb Zobel of Bancroft, NE Sherri Poggi of Tenafly, NJ Doris was preceded in death by her parents-Morris and Elizabeth Perry, husband-Kenneth Repschlaeger, siblings-Jackie Perry, Mert Perry, and Dean Perry, her in-laws Arla Mae and Dean Knuppel, Glen and Margaret Zobel, George Poggi, Ruthaline Zobel, Cal Roth, and Dennis Beck.
