Everett Minds

Memorial services for Everett Minds age 95 of Pilger, NE will be held at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner, NE. Everett passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home. Everett Clyde Carl Minds was born in Beemer, NE to Harry and Delores (Rabbass) Minds. He attended Cuming Co. Rural School and St. Matthew's Parochial school rural Wisner, NE. After his schooling, he worked for various farmers. Everett served in the United States Army from 1950-1953, and during that time was stationed in Germany. Upon returning from the military, he worked for Stanton County and helped an area farmer. On October 23, 1955, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Huntemann at the Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. After their marriage, the couple farmed northwest of West Point for 5 years, then northeast of Wisner for 15 years and in 1975 moved to their current farm northwest of Pilger. Everett loved farming along with raising cattle, hogs and chickens. In the winter months he would help out at Wisner Farmer's Equipment. Everett was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner and had served on the church council, Wisner American Legion Post #85, and Wisner VFW Post #5767. His true passion was farming and he was an avid reader. Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years-Dorothy Minds of Pilger, NE Son-Craig and Pam Minds of Carroll, NE and son- Kyle and Katie Minds Daughter-Kristi and Jeff Trinkle of Bellevue, NE and family- Brady and Sally Sass and children-Gaby, Ares, Adi, and Macey Justin and Morgan Sass and children-Remy and Trey Lexie Trinkle Nieces and Nephews also survive him. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, infant son-Bren Jon, brother-Elwood Minds, sisters-Eulilah Doffin and Elaine Hansen.
