Macie Bartosh

Visitation for Macie Bartosh age 93 of Dodge, NE will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Minnick Funeral Chapel in Dodge, NE. Private family interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, rural Dodge, NE. Macie passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Fremont Methodist Hospital in Fremont, NE. Macie Lou Bartosh was born on October 3, 1932 in Covington County, FL to Connie and Nettie (Davis) Chesteen. The family moved to Andalusia, AL, where Macie graduated from Straun High School. She worked at AlaTex Textile Mill in Andalusia. On January 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to Maurice Bartosh in Andalusia, AL. After Maurice's discharge from the U.S. Air Force, they moved to Dodge, NE Macie loved to crochet and sew. Survivors include- Son-Dave and Kathy Bartosh of Dodge, NE and family- Shannon and Jamey Jaeger and daughter-Monroe Tyler and Natalie Bartosh and son Gavin Jenny and Chris Matthies and children- Kaylee and Carter Anderson and Jonathon Matthies Scott and Kari Ueding and family- Lauren Ueding, Myla Ueding, Kayla and Abe Rojas and children-Wrenley and Ridge, Kyle and Marissa Murray and son-Miles, and Ashley Murray Daughter-Deb Wagner of Fremont, NE and daughter- Hannah and Hunter Giesselmann Sister-Margaret Warthen of Lakeland, FL Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Macie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twins in infancy, and siblings-Reuben Chesteen, Gene Chesteen, Irene Riddle, Roy Chasteen, and Gerald Chesteen.
