Mary Louise Emry
April 1, 1933 - February 13, 2021
Mary Louise Emry, of Kuna, died peacefully at the Cascadia Assisted Living Facility in Nampa on February 13th, 2021. She was surrounded by family.
Born in Barton City, Missouri in 1933 to Nellie Sitts Mayfield and Ray Mayfield, Louise graduated from Greenleaf Friends Academy in Greenleaf, Idaho in 1951. A dedicated homemaker, Louise loved being a Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Her family has many special memories of get-togethers where Louise made potato salad, chili, cookies, homemade ice cream, and Special K Bars. She also had many dear friends (her "Coffee girls") that she loved spending time with. She liked to go camping, collecting bells, making quilts for grandkids, and wearing her many broaches, bracelets, and earrings. But more than anything, she cherished time spent with her husband, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Louise was married to the love of her life, Don, for 67 joyful years. A woman of great faith, Louise attended and served Meridian Friends Church for 27 years. Prior to that, she attended and served at Boise Friends Church for 25 years. She was an inspiration and beautiful example of Christian living. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was a little girl and she never wavered from that decision. She had a caring attitude, a charitable heart, warm spirit, and a willingness to help others. She will be missed by so many and her hugs were the BEST!
Louise is survived by son Ron (Debbie); son Kelly (Susie); daughter-in-law Linda Marie Emry; 10 grandchildren; Kacey McDonnell (Jeff); Jana Varchaver (Peter), Abby Ellis (Andy Holmes); Autumn Mackey; Christian Emry (Cynthia); Matthew Emry (Courtney); Adam Emry; Ryan Emry (Plois); Rylee Emry; Alyssa Abel (Zach) 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Jack Coles (Bennye); sister Susie Wakeley (Bill); 4 sisters-in-law (Norma, Martha, Joan, Linda Luann) and numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend of the family Toni Robison.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wilber Emry, parents, Ray and Nellie Mayfield, brother Harold Coles; son Douglas Eugene; great-granddaughter Isabel; and adopted daughter Debbie Carlson.
