Connie Lea McKibben

Connie L. (Knuth) McKibben, 75, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her home in Vinton.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Connie was born July 11, 1950, to Ralph "Curly" and Roberta (Rommann) Knuth at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. In 1973 she was united in marriage to Richard McKibben at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton. The couple later divorced but remained close until his passing in 2022. Connie worked as a Registered Nurse, most recently at Windsor Manor, and she loved her job so much she never wanted to give it up.

Connie loved animals, especially her miniature ponies, cats, and dogs. She was a devout member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved shopping and was very fond of her clothes. She also loved crocheting, watching soap operas, and her two Ford Mustangs. Connie loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and her sister, Sharon.

Connie is survived by her sister, Sharon (Lynn) McCullough; her sons, Cory (Leslie) McKibben, Casey (Deb) McKibben, and Channon (Kristie) McKibben; her grandchildren, Keegan McKibben, Maylee McKibben, Chase McKibben, Austin Sneed, Kaylea McKibben, Libby McKibben, Seth McKibben, Alannah McKibben, and Chandler McKibben; her great-grandchildren, Berkley McKibben and Lakley McKibben.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Roberta Knuth, and her ex-husband, Richard McKibben.
