Bobbi McGee Obituary

Bobbi Lynn McGee, 48, of Bardstown, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 17, 1970, in Bardstown to Jerry and June Rummage McGee. Bobbi was a graduate of Nelson County High School where she was a past president for state Decca, a graduate of Morehead State University, a former assistant manager of Wal-Mart, and was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Lena McGee; her maternal grandfather, James L. Rummage; and a sister-in-law, Sharon McCubbins McGee.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and June McGee, of Bardstown; her sister, Christy (Wayne) Christopher, of Georgetown; her brother, Chuck (Barbara) McGee, of Bardstown; her maternal grandmother, Mary Rummage, of Bardstown; six nieces, Shelby and Grace Hughes, Courtney, Sammy, and Abby McGee, Kyleigh Christopher and three nephews, Quinten and Grant Hughes and Mikee Burtom.
The family would like to thank Mary Lou Durbin and Andrea Yates for the loving care they gave Bobbi.
Cremation was chosen by the family. A graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at St. Gregory Cemetery. The Rev. Peter Do will officiate. Visitation with the family will be at the time of the service.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the St. Gregory Church Bereavement Fund.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
