Guy Philip Mouser

1958 - 2024

Guy Philip Mouser, 65, owner and operator of Guys Building Supply of New Haven, passed away peacefully March 11, 2024, at his residence with his wife and family by his side.
Guy was born July 14, 1958, in Bardstown. He was a loving husband, son, brother and friend. He was a great businessman, a very charitable person, a great storyteller, coach of various sports and loved country music. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Edward "Joe Eddie "Q Ball," Mouser; a niece, Kayla Brown; a nephew, Gerald Mouser; and a brother-in-law, John Wayne Brown.
Guy is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Connie Ann Mouser of New Haven; his mother, Frances B. Mouser, of New Haven; one daughter, Deirtre "Dee" Hernandez of Louisville; one granddaughter, Ciara Nicole Hunt; one great-grandson, Castiel "Cass"; 11 brothers, Tommy (Martha), Don (Letha), Chad (Ann), Marvin, Mike (Karen), Wally, Garland, Errol (Johnye), Bernie (Kim) and Robert (Melanie) Mouser; five sisters, Lois Ann (Tommy) Cecil, Nini (Joe) Moore, Jeaneane (J.H.) Thompson, Celie (John A.) Sims and Fran Brown; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Matthew Hardesty officiating, with burial to follow in the St. Catherine Church Cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation will be Friday March 15, from 3 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel and will continue Saturday after 9 a.m. until 10:30 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Ann's Catholic School in Howardstown.
Pallbearers are Hunter Bryan, Ben Anderson "Dover," J.D. Taylor, Austin Donahue, Matthew Gowers, Jared Masterson, Kenneth Mattingly, Neal Sidebottom and James Wimsett.
William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
