Larry Bryan

1950 - 2025

A Bardstown resident, Mr. Larry Bryan, 75, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at his home. He was born April 6, 1950, in New Haven to the late Bernard Leslie Bryan and Della Mae Hagan Bryan. Larry retired as a water treatment plant supervisor for the City of Bardstown. He was a fanatic about keeping his vehicles clean. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and his greatest joy in life was his grandkids.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Bryan.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Sue Shaw Bryan; two sons, Scott (Lea) Bryan of Jacksonville, N.C., Jason (Leeann) Bryan of Bardstown; one granddaughter, Sarah Bryan of Jacksonville, N.C.; two grandsons, Carter Bryan and Sawyer Bryan at home; his sisters, Sandy Sallee of Elizabethtown and Barbara (Doug) Miles of New Haven; his brothers, Harold (Debbie) Bryan of Bloomfield, Bernard Bryan Jr., Ricky Bryan (Stephanie Fenwick), David (Marsha) Bryan, Bobby Bryan, Ronnie (Celie) Bryan and Donnie Bryan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. The Rev. J. Randall Hubbard will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Bread For Life Community Food Pantry.
