Sandra Rust Obituary

Sandra Denise Rust, 52, of Hodgenville, formerly of New Haven, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at The Cancer Center of America in Newnan, Ga. She was born April 27, 1962, the daughter of Charles Louis Sr. and Mary Ann DeMar Rust. She was a 1980 graduate of LaRue County High School and a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was employed at Magna Seating in Shepherdsville and worked and associated with William R. Rust Funeral Homes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Rust Sr.; a brother, Gary E. "Squirrel" Rust; a sister, Mary Rust; a nephew, Glen E. Stratton III; maternal grandparents, James "Jim" and Mary Alice Mattingly DeMar; and paternal grandparents, James E. and Edna Seward Rust.
Survivors include twin children, Kelsey Ann and Stephen Elijah Brady, of Hodgenville; significant other, Stephen Brady, of Hodgenville; her mother, Mary Ann DeMar Rust, of New Haven; five brothers, Charles L. "Chuck" (Beth) Rust, of Boston, Bruce Rust, of New Haven, William R. "Ronnie" Rust, of New Haven, Jeff (Vicki) Rust, of Hodgenville, and John (Crystal) Rust, of Lyons Station; a sister, Beverly Ann (Dana) DeSpain, of Lyons Station; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Troy Overton will officiate.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Hodgenville.
William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
