William Morris Obituary
Wilson was born Oct. 18, 1945, to the late William Franklin and Dorothy Rita Bryan Morris.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was retired from General Electric in Louisville as a laborer and served four years in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Jimmy Morris.
Wilson was survived by a son, Jerry (Angel Wells) Morris of New Haven; a daughter, Terri (Robert) Spriggs of Bardstown; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Mike Morris of New Haven, Bobby (Debbie) Morris of Bardstown, T.C. (Donna) Morris of New Haven, Frankie (Laurie) Morris of Bardstown and Ray (Lisa) Morris of New Haven; three sisters, Theresa "Sissy" Clark of New Haven, Kathy (Ricky) Miles of New Haven and Martha Rose (Lex) Martin of Bloomfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at St. Catherine Church with the Rev. Kirby Rust officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at William R. Rust Funeral Home, New Haven Chapel, and will continue after 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home until time of service at the church at 11 a.m.
William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
