Michael Farenbaugh Obituary

Michael was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ralph and Ellen Farenbaugh on August 14, 1932. He entered eternal life on October 26, 2016 in Cameron Park, California at the age of 84. He was a devoted father of 7 children, Kim Farenbaugh, James Farenbaugh, Anne Martinez (Michael),Mary Jo von Tillow (Kurt), Kevin Farenbaugh (Denise) and Jill Carson (Mark). He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sharon,his brother Jack, and his eldest son, Kelly. He was proud grandfather and lovingly called "Bumpa" to 7 grandchildren, Matthew von Tillow, Jon Martinez, Jessica Giampaolo (CJ), Michael Ostick (Laura), Andrew Carson (Casandra), Kelli Carson, and Ryan Pinter. His 3 great-grandsons, Carter Giampaolo, Jordan Giampaolo, and Cameron Michael Carson brought great joy to his life. He is survived by his sisters Kathleen Miller, Mary Pat Wermers (Jerry) and several loving nieces and nephews.Mike served in the US Army during the Korean War 1953 1955. Mike and Sharon lived in La Crescenta for 30+ years and were very active in the community and St. James Church. He was coach Farenbaugh to many young men who played on his YMCA baseball teams. He built a successful window and house cleaning business in the area until retiring to Bodfish, California. Memorial services and mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in La Crescenta on Saturday, November 12th at 11 AM. Celebration of life to follow services.
