Bernard 'Ben' J. Willger
SPARTA -- Bernard "Ben" J. Willger, 87, of Sparta passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. Ben was born March 17, 1933, to John and Martha (Weber) Willger, on St. Mary's Ridge. Ben served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Conflict. On March 30, 1954, he was united in Holy matrimony to Linda Woodard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary's Ridge. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton. Visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, at the church on St. Mary's Ridge. Online condolences may be offered at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
