Beverly Cram Obituary

Beverly Ann "Bev" Cram

TOMAH - Beverly Ann "Bev" Cram, age 90, of Tomah, WI, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the Serenity House in Tomah. She was born on April 23, 1933, to Arnold and Bertina (Tisthammer) Weeks.

Beverly was baptized, confirmed, and married in Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church. She met her husband, Ramon, while they were both in college at La Crosse, WI. She married Ramon in 1953 and spent 63 wonderful years as his wife and mother of their children, Ramon, Cathy, Caroline, and Susan. In the late 1950s, Bev and Ray embarked on a new adventure, starting Cram's Super Market in Tomah. Mom worked as the store's accountant and continued her meticulous bookkeeping for her farm and her finances until the end.

After retiring from the grocery business, Beverly and Ray made their home on a small hobby farm, where they raised horses, llamas, goats, and chickens and cultivated a beautiful garden. She treasured and cared for all her animals with great love and compassion. She loved all of God's creatures. The care she gave to her animals resulted in them living amazingly long and healthy lives. She managed her farm to exacting standards and ensured each animal was given the best life possible. Their farm was affectionately known as the "Garden of Eden."

Bev is survived by her son, Harold Ramon (Therese Lechnir) Cram III, and her daughters, Cathy (Larry Zanoni) Cram and Susan (Steven Parker) Cram; Bev's legacy also lives on in her grandchildren, Harold Ramon (Jessica) Cram IV, John (Rachel) Cram, James (Sarah) Weiss, Matt (Alyssa) Cram, and Miranda Cram, as well as her great-grandchildren, Zyrus, Myztre, Macaulay, Liam, Miles, Jackson, and Norah. She is also survived by her two brothers, Frank Weeks and Roger Weeks, and sister, Annette Guldenaar.

Her loving husband, Ramon, and her cherished daughter, Caroline Becker, preceded her in death. After the passing of her beloved Ramon, Bev looked forward to the day she would join him and they could spend eternity together.

As we say goodbye to Bev, we celebrate her remarkable life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She was an inspiration to her family and continued to be a guiding force with her strength and determination throughout her life. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Beverly was rich with friends, and her family extends our deepest gratitude to all those friends and neighbors who were so kind and caring to her, especially during her last years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah. There will be no visitation prior to the service. My condolences to Bev´s family. I always looked up to Bev (and Ray) growing up in the Tomah Saddle Club, where my family got to enjoy friendship and competition on horseback with their children. They were always gracious and kind to us and were outstanding community members. My sister clerked at their grocery store in high school.
My heart goes out to all those who will feel the loss of Bev at this sad time. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.
