Cheri Massie Obituary
WEST SALEM, WI - Cheri Lynn Massie, 61, of West Salem, Wis., passed away surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on August 25, 1964, to Clyde and Marlene (Berger) Pettygrove and attended Central High School. Cheri later married Phillip Massie; though they divorced, they shared three wonderful children together.
Cheri's passions were many - she loved horses, gardening, cooking, and camping. Most of all, she cherished time with her children and her grandpets, creating memories filled with love and laughter.
She is survived by her three children: Morgan (Justin) Taft, Matt (Jennifer) Massie, and Dillon (Chynna) Massie; sisters, Dawn and Angela; brother, Clyde; mother, Marlene; nieces; nephews; her granddogs and grandkittys; and her beloved cat, Miss Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde; brother, Cary; grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and her very special cat, Chester.
Cheri's warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Emplify Health and their hospice and oncology teams, Dr. Abby Chilson-Byrd, MD, and Jeanette, Hospice RN.
A time of sharing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 9, 2025, at Fredrickson Funeral Home, Jostad Chapel, 121 N. Youlon St., West Salem. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., until the time of sharing at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials or other gestures of support may be directed to Cheri's family.
Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jostad Chapel, West Salem, is in charge of arrangements.
