Much respect and appreciation to Master Klahn. He served so many, so well. He lifted me up as a person, a man and martial artist. I pray he heard the words “well done good and faithful servant, well done” from our Heavenly Father.
Master Klahn, when I see you in Heaven, I hope we will be kicking each other in the arms and ribs again. Peace be upon you.
Thank you Jesus.

Sensei,
I am going to miss you dearly. It was a blessing and an absolute privilege to have known you for the greater majority of my life. I could not begin to thank you enough for the values, perspectives, and life lessons you taught me from a young age. You will always be known and remembered by the thousands of lives you have impacted. My family is honestly struggling with your loss, as you know how much you meant to all of us. This is proving to be rather difficult for me, but I trust I will always have you as a guardian to guide me. Your legend will live on forever.

The passing of a good man - Larry was a friend and teacher of me & my family ( sons with me in TKD, daughter in W.I.S.E.). My last visit was in early August when I planned a 10 minute "hello" which turned into a 2 hour lunch visit. I helped him negotiate the wheelchair through traffic to the King St. Kitchen where he ordered French toast & cole slaw- telling stories the whole time. l always appreciated the way his face lit up when his parents visited the school. His love of family & friends was obvious. Dedicated son & brother, passionate teacher with his door open to all, and a loyal friend - He will be missed !

When I came to Three Rivers Martial Arts in January of this year, I wasn't sure what to expect. Nearly a year later, Larry "Master" Klahn grew on me not just as a friend but as a friend and mentor. Every day I showed up for class, I looked forward to seeing the man smile, and there was never a moment where he wasn't! Master Klahn was full of knowledge and funny stories! There was never a dull moment! For someone I've known only a short time, without a doubt, he will be missed by many; great and small; far and wide.

Twenty-six years later and you still have a special place in my heart Master Klahn. I will never forget your words of wisdom, your patience, and your funny sense of humor. I learned so much from youthings that has helped shape me to the person that I am today. You will forever be missed but never forgotten my friend. Rest in peace.

I will always be grateful to Larry for creating the W.I.S.E. program. I was in one of his first classes. It was intense and difficult for some women to overcome their fears. I admired Larry for his passion to protect women from a potential assailant by teaching us how to protect ourselves, disable our attacker & escape. I was never so proud of myself as the night I graduated from W.I.S.E. Thank you Larry for teaching 5,000 women how to protect themselves as well as all the other classes you taught. You were a gem of a human being. Rest in peace Larry Klahn.

What started out as a professional relationship became a long time friendship. I would guess 30 years or so. Larry always gave more thought and consideration to others than he did himself. He was beloved in the past the present and will leave a mark on many people because of his WISE foundation. My deepest sympathies.

We just met Master Klahn in June 2021., but he has already greatly impacted our life and more importantly my son's life on his beginnings of martial arts as his sensei, teacher, mentor, role model, counselor., and a honest friend. We looked forward every day to your always funny stories, teachings, and funny remarks.

Grand Master Klhan has had an amazing life and accomplishments, and we are highly honored to have been part of it, with his great devotion to our country, service, the truth, martial arts, swords, science-fiction and friendships.

Larry, we miss you already my friend, you will always be remembered as part of our family. We thank you so much for everything you did for our son Emilio. Condolences to your family.

Larry was my Tae Kwon Do instructor in the late 70's. What i remember most was the self confidence that he instilled in me thru his instruction. I can honestly say that i would not be who i am now if not for his impact on my life. Even though i have not seen him in many years, i am still extremely sad to hear of his passing. May God grant his family peace in knowing that his time on this earth made life for many others better.

Larry was the best coach, and an excellent friend. I remember looking forward to his humor and lessons at the do jo. His honesty and kindness were apparent, but he wouldn’t take any slacking off either! I’m so grateful for this man’s life, his being a mentor in the community. A happy day will come, to see his smile again. Condolences to the family, much love and prayers your way.

Larry was the most fun, happy and loving guy! We had such amazing times together. He was always goofy and making me, and everyone around us, laugh. Those memories will stay with me forever. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing (I keep wanting to write as if I am talking to Larry as if he is in the present. Rather, he is in the presence of God).

Thanks for the love and laughter. I know that the Lord has welcomed him home. What a glorious day for heaven but what sadness for those of us who knew, befriended and loved him!! My condolences to each of the family but particularly to Lucille! May God cover you with peace and love in knowing all of those that Larry's life has touched!

Larry was larger than life. He taught me everything I needed to stay alive in my 35 years of law enforcement. We stayed best of friends up until his untimely death. Larry will be missed by all of law enforcement and his students. I will forever have a place in my heart for Larry. I could talk forever about Larry and his antics. I never knew when he was serious or goofing around.

I will truly miss Larry. Until we meet again brother. Love ya
