Larry Allan Myhre
Larry Allan Myhre, 70, of La Crosse passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, in his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1950, in Viroqua, to Tennie and Gladys (Anderson) Myhre. Larry was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and graduated from Logan High School, both in La Crosse. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1970 - December 1971. He married Alice Lowery, June 7, 1975. He had worked at La Crosse Rubber Mills for 32 years before retiring. Larry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; son, Allan Myhre of La Crosse; three daughters, Erin (Andy) Bashaw of La Crosse, Lindsey Myhre of La Crosse and Nicole Myhre of Baraboo, Wis.; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kaitlynn and Isaiah; a sister, Gloria Galstad of Coon Valley; a brother, Rodney (Phyllis) Myhre of La Crosse; and a niece, Barbara (James) Williams of Coon Rapids, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Richard Galstad; a niece, Melissa Galstad; and a nephew, David Galstad.
A public visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Schumacher - Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse. A private service will follow. Pastor Ted Dewald will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minn. Online guestbook is available at www.schumacher-kish.
