Michael P. Euler
Michael P. Euler, 79, of La Crosse passed away peacefully with his daughter and son-in-law by his side at Hope Stay in Onalaska Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021.
Michael was born Dec. 13, 1941, in La Crosse, to the late John Euler and the late Irene (Roth-Euler) Bell. He grew up in La Crosse and later met and married the love of his life, Judith Johnson, Oct. 30, 1965. They were married 15 years before her unexpected passing Dec. 8, 1980. From then on, his life was dedicated to raising his five children. Michael worked hard to provide for his family and we could not be more proud to call him our father. Anyone that knew him knows he would lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed talking to anyone that he came in contact with, nobody was a stranger.
Before his Parkinson's progressed, Michael enjoyed hunting with his son, David, going to lunch with his friends or breakfast with his work buddies. His favorite time was spent with family and his grand kids on holidays and family get-togethers.
Michael was a life-long member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. He worked at the La Crosse Diocese for 41 years.
He is survived by his children, Dianna (Ray) Wiatt, Debra Euler, David Euler, and Harry Euler; granddaughters, Whitney Wiatt and Chelsey Euler; great-granddaughters, Niyha and Lenni; sister, Rosalie (Wallace) Hanson of La Crosse; brother, Phillip (Jackie) Euler of Milwaukee; and sister, Marie Johnson of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Euler; parents, John and Irene; son, Jeffrey Euler; infant son, Michael Jr.; sister, Linda Euler; and brothers, John Euler, Dwayne Roberts and Arlie Roberts.
The family would like to thank Chu and Chia, Nurse Linda and the staff at Hope Stay Assisted Living for providing our father with such wonderful care. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Ed Malone of Mayo Clinic for the care and compassion he gave our father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. James the Less Catholic Church. Msgr. Robert Hundt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass Thursday, at the church. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse is assisting the family. Online condolences may be submitted at www.schumacher-kish.com.
