Nancy Darland Goode
NORTHFIELD, MN - Nancy Darland Goode, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, and aunt passed away in Northfield, Minnesota on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 97.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula and husband, Roger; son, Tim and wife, Eileen; grandson, Jeremy and wife, Amanda; and granddaughter, Madeline. She and her husband, David, were married 73 years before his death in 2019.
Nancy loved nature and enjoyed canoeing with family and friends, especially in the Boundary Waters. She was a talented knitter and seamstress.
She and David befriended a number of students through the International Student Association at UW La Crosse, making lifelong friends.
Patient and kind, she taught us to be curious, tolerant, and accepting of all people, nationalities and cultures.
The family is grateful to Minnesota Hospice, who provided invaluable care and comfort.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in central Illinois.

You have our deepest sympathy on the death of your beautiful Mother. We loved your parents as our own when we lived with them at The Landings in La Crosse WI. They were the best neighbors we could ever have! Wonderful, kind, helpful, thoughtful - not enough words to describe them. We loved them dearly and miss them every day.

I knew Nancy when working together in the LaCrosse WI League of Women Voters. A delightful person who worked diligently for the betterment of our community. RIP
