Pat Donaldson, 89, passed away peacefully on Nov. 6th surrounded by his loving family. Born June 4, 1936, in Eau Claire, Pat was the fifth of nine children of Josephine and Ralph Donaldson. After graduating from Regis High School and the University of St. Thomas, he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He later settled in Phoenix, where he founded a medical supply company.

Pat eventually returned to Eau Claire and later La Crosse, where he pursued his passion for art by designing and crafting stained glass. In retirement, he moved back to Phoenix to be near family and dedicated countless hours volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, continuing his service until the age of 88.

Family was the heart of Pat's life. He was first cherished as the "fun uncle" to 23 nieces and nephews, and later as a loving father of three. Known for his humor, generosity, and warm spirit, Pat will be remembered for the ever-present smile on his face and the unmistakable twinkle in his eyes.

Pat is preceded in death by his daughter, Camille Sypura; and his siblings and their spouses, Mary Josephine, OSB, Elizabeth (John), John Charles, Robert (Mary), Barbara (Nate), Rev. Tom, Bridget, OSB, and Rita's husband, Dave. He is survived by his sister, Rita; two children, Pat (Shannon), and Ann-Marie (DJ); and son-in-law, Bill; nine grandchildren, Thomas, Katie, Josephine, Libby, Lainey, Sophia, Camille, John, and Chris; and 23 cherished nieces and nephews.

We will have a memorial Mass at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at St. Patrick Parish, 316 Fulton St., Eau Claire. Burial in the family plot will immediately follow.
