Russell Wedeking Obituary
April 1, 1938 - February 2, 2025
Russell F. Wedeking, age 86, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, passed away on February 2, 2025.
Russ was a man of many accomplishments, great vitality and an indomitable enthusiasm for life. He will also be warmly remembered for his love of the Wisconsin Badgers, tennis and animals of all shapes and sizes. Most telling was the endless amusement, comfort and contentment Russ found in the companionship of his beloved "kitties" throughout the years. His unique spirit will be missed.
Russ is survived by his daughter, Sara Tilsen (Dave); son, Scott Wedeking (Shirley); grandchildren, Charlie, Sam, Rachel, Emmie, and Jacob as well as his niece Patti Lancashire (Derek) and grand niece and nephew, Allison and Colin. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bergina and Lester Wedeking; brother Robert; daughter, Susan Carpenter (Charlie); and son, Stephen.
In accordance with Russ's wishes, a private memorial service will be attended by the family.
