Arsenio Sampayan Avizado Jr.

ARSENIO SAMPAYAN AVIZADO JR. Age 53, of Tarzana, California, passed peacefully on Sunday, the 20th of January 2002 at the Tarzana Campus of Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center following a long illness. Born the 31st of October 1948 in Salinas, Arsenio was a member of the original San Francisco tribe of Upon moving to the Los Angeles area 25 years ago, he sang with the gospel group Power"; studied ac ting at the Strasberg Institute; landed a stint on the soap Hospital". Before retiring in 1997, Ace was a mastering engineer in Hollywood's recording industry. He was a member of the Laoaguenian Society, North American Fishing Club, Defenders of the Wilderness and the National Rifle Association. Survived by wife, Kathleen M. Buniff-Avizado of Tarzana; daughter, Anjelle Y. Avizado and son, Arsenio L. Avizado, III, both of San Francisco; mother, Buena S. Avizado of Salinas; and sister, Suzanne A. Luna of Hillsborough. Services were held last Friday, the 25th of January 2002, at Struve & LaPorte in Salinas, placement Tuesday, the 29th, at the Garden of Memories, also in Salinas.
