HI PAT &SISTERS: Really sorry I didn't realize "Junior" had lived in Saugus as my wife's daughter & Son in law, Bob
MUGNO were living there about the time of Frank's death. Their youngest boy, Kevin, Practiced "BIG EYE" photos
when very young and reminded me of your DAD's photos so I took my "JR" book with me to visit them in GRANITE BAY, CA (north of Sacramento where they now live, and held up a few of my old Frank COGHLAN PICS
which I keep in an envelope in the front of the book to compare their "LOOK." I used to see FRANK at a lot of the GRAMPA PETTIBONE SQDN meetings at EL TORO and ASSOCIATION MEETINGS. Over those years, up to mid-1980's I often sat with Frank, and one time I told Frank I would walk with him to our cars and he asked what I had in mind , and I told him "I just wanted to look "TALLER," I'm an inch taller than he was, and I had enough problem to get into the AIR FORCE AVIATION CADET PILOT TRAINING program after 6 years enlisted in the NAVY WW11 and after... I retired after 21 years combined NAVY & USAF and was doing the FAA ACCIDENT PREVENTION PROGRAM and SAFETY meetings in L.A> and ORANGE COUNTY for Pilots and FRANK did a couple programs with me... He was a favorite good friend for a while and I was privilieged to know him... I have now started RE-READING HIS BOOK, and enjoying it more this time. BONITA GRANVILLE is mentioned and her husband , Jack WRATHER was involved in setting up the SPRUCE GOOSE for display at LONG BEACH so I was there for the ribbon cutting ceremony by BONITA GRANVILLE... I escorted JIMMY STEWART up the ladder into the tall TAIL of the plane and had my hands on the ladder rung when he started to back down, and ALMOST stepped on my hand ... I am at phone 951-767-0668 about 30 miles east of TEMECULA in Riverside County in case you would like to give me your mailing address I would have a copy of a couple FRANK & ME photos and
send you... BY the way, in 1994 JOEY MUGNO made news when born during the NORTHRIDGE Earthquake, and he graduated US Maritime Academy in NY last year went into NAVY as Ensign and is in SEAL training now, his
choice.. Hope I didn't bore you too much, but visiting FRANK was great so happy to find his BIO.

The Coghlan Family,
I didn't read the newspapers at all but I was glad to find about the sweet actor, Frank "Junior" Coghlan's passing. I have him in two 16mm silent features titled Rubber Tires and Yankee Clipper. So is The Advetures of Captian Marvel. I wish to meet him long time ago. Many old good stars are gone and how can I enjoy with the new stars in this generation. I am very lonesome for them and watch the old movies in 16mm and dvds. That is the only way I can enjoy watching them as if I already meet them. I lost my wife in 1993 and i am still sore. My second sweet wife cheers and supports me as much as she can give. May the Lord truly take care of you. Burton Quartermus

I was saddened to read about your dad's passing, as I know how close you were, and how much you adored him. Although it is so difficult now, I am sure that in time, you will feast in all the fabulous memories and continue to share his life & stories with friends and acquaintances. How wonderful that he left you a book!

I used to be a travel agent at Los Alamitos Travel where Frank would usually make his travel arrangements. It was always a delight to see him coming in the door as he kept us all entertained with many varied stories of his acting career as well as his many travel tales; his most favorite destination being Malaysia. It was a pleasure to have touched bases with this fine gentleman who was well grounded and made everyone feel as though he was your friend.
