JULIE DeBOEVER Obituary

Passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 3, 2010 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January. Born August 4, 1930 in Minnesota, she moved her family to the Burbank area in 1962 and was very proud to have raised her five daughters on her own. Julie was young at heart, a devout Catholic, loved to travel, play the slots and volunteer. Julie joined the Optimist Club in 1976 and was a member of the Paso Robles, Magnolia Park, and North Hollywood Optimist Clubs, served on the Board of Directors for the Optimist Youth Home, and ran Optimist Bingo on Thursday nights for many years. Through her commitment and dedication to fundraising, the Julie DeBoever Girls Home in Eagle Rock was named in her honor. She was also a member o f the Elks and Ladies Moose. Julie is survived by her daughters, Lyn, Pamm, Victoria, Terri, and Lori; her grandchildren, Tyler, Carly and Matthew; her brother, Adolph Rezac in Minnesota; and her sister, Nancy Dahl in Arizona. Julie had a large family and wide circle of friends and will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts. Services for Julie will be at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Burbank, Saturday, April 17, 2010. Rosary at 11:00 am with mass following at 11:30 am. Per Julie's request, in l ieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Optimist Youth Home, 6957 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90041.
