Stuart Rubin Obituary

STUART RUBIN In Memory Stuart Allen Beyer Rubin, age 36, loving and devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend, died Friday, August 3, 2001 in an automobile accident on Las Virgines Rd. Born in New York, Stuart spent most of his youth in the San Fernando Valley, graduating from Calabasas High School, then UC Santa Barbara. During his junior year at the Sorbonne, in Paris, he met his beloved wife, Mette, from Denmark. The couple married in a beautiful Danish wedding in the summer of 1990 and settled in Santa Monica, where they founded their own business, Quick Draw!. In 1998, the family, which by then included two small children, settled in Westlake Village. Stuart is survived by his wife, Mette Beyer Rubin; his son, Jakob age 6; daughter, Anna age 3; his brother, David; his father, Martin Rubin of Carmel Valley; and his mother and stepfather, Sandra Rubin and Paul Deis of Oak Park. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating Stuart Rubin's life at the Westlake Church of Religious Science at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2001, 2649 Townsgate Rd., Westlake Village.
