How fast the time goes it seems like yesterday and I still get the earge to call you to see how you are and to just talk to you. You are always in my heart and I along with Mike and Rory always talk about you and remember the good times we had. Or the other day mom tata and Vincent were driving down Sep. and I didn't say anything cause Tata still doesn't eat their but we drove by and memory's just came over me. Sorry I don't visit your resting place but I think for me that you are up above me wathing over us and not at the cemetary it give's me the creeps I choose to remember you with all the good times we had. Hi Mom, just thinking about you and wanted to tell you Dad is O.K. We took him out to breakfast on your 61st Anniversary he was sad but, he made it through the day. He always visits you, he misses you very much as we all do. He is having cataract surgery Monday. He wants to make sure he passes his driving test in July. I know you are watching all of us I always feel you very near. Well Mama your going to miss my 60th birthday this year can you believe I am going to be that old? I cannot believe it, I don't feel like I am mentally just physically. I guess we cannot stop ageing. I spoke to your sister Monci the other day at Dad's she seems to be doing well she said she talks to you everyday. Tell Velia Raymond was in the hospital as far as I know he is doing alright Stella said.
Well Mama I going to bed hope I can sleep. Your always in my heard With All My Love Dianna.

My Nana-

Thats what everyone called her. Everybody that met her knew her as Nana. A person you can count on when you needed to talk, of course unless she was talking and we all know that didn’t happen all the time. A listener she was also. However, you had to speak a little louder than normal or repeat your self 2 or 3 times but she was listening.

She loved to gamble... When growing up she use to play poker alot and when I learned the game (from her) I joined the fun. It was a smoked filled, drinking, converstaions that would not end to early the next morning. She would always stay end hands raising it a nickel (on a 8- 2 not suited) but nothing wild, no peak was her game and she would never fold until she would see her last card.

I remember living at my Nana’s house off and on many times when I was a teenager. She would always give me the best advice that would make you think about what your future plans were and she always wanted the best to all her family. “I was an angel”, she said... but some people would think diffrently but not my Nana...She would always be so proud of me no matter if I was being so juvenile. You know...smoking a little, doing a little drugs a littel, coming and going as I please, stealing, cheating and lying, the list could go on and on. But she would always tell me,(meyo) my Greggy you will be somebody and people will be so proud of you. Do the things that come natural and you will succeed in anything you put your focus on.

Food- WOW she can cook and she would never let you leave her house until you ate something or she said those famous words”are you full”, “ are you hungry”, “ did you eat”, or “have you had enough”, ( of course in spanish) and man you would be stuffed. We all know still liked her diets...(right) But somehow she could not stay with the diets beacuase she loved food too much. If you were a Chavez one thing you didn’t go without is a meal and then some.

One thing that she enjoyed is a good deep tissue massage. She would always tell me it feels so good and that she would like me to massage her harder. Of course I would have to charge her a quarter for it. Just to see her in the comfort and relaxing so much was well worth any price.

She was like my blanket... She would wrap her arms around you and you would feel free of any worries. Her presence alone would make you feel warm and comfortable, yep like a blanket. You can pull the blanket over your head and hide from everything... Yep like a blanket.

I will miss my Nana for so many reasons but knowing that she is in Heaven with Jesus and family like her parents, Bobby, her sister, Lil Roy, Rita, Lil Vincent, Issac, Katrina so sad but the list is long and can go on. Knowing that she is not suffering no longer is the thought I will keep with me. Yep, no pain, no worries and no more suffering. She will always be part of my life and my heart. I will see you in Heaven!!! Until then I will wrap myself in the blanket everyday.

NANA I LOVE YOU!!!

Mama,
I was just going to call you to see how your day was going, but I realized that you are not here anymore. I know that you are looking down at us all and making sure we are all getting along. I am sorry I was so impatient with my sisters and you would not like me to be angry with them and you know I do not hold grudges. I love them and I always will. There is so much I want to tell you Mama I hope you hear me because I miss you very much. Daddy is having a hard time of it, but he is trying to keep himself busy so he's heartache won't be so hard. Dennis is still working overtime and I am still in trouble for spending too much money as usually.
I left flowers the other day and I am going to put a flag for the 4th also. Mama I'll see you someday and I know you are walking, healthy and happy because you came to me in my dream and showed me with all the ones that have left us here. Well I will talk to you later Mama I hope you get this soon. With all my LOVE D!
