Harold Powers Obituary

Harold Lee Powers, 68, of Jellico, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1953 in Whitley County, Kentucky.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Caleb and Gertrude Hickey Powers; and sisters, Gracie McCullah, Effie Moul.

He is survived by his wife, Maudie Cox Powers; sons, Dennis Powers and wife, Donna, Keith Powers and wife, Sarah, Nathan Powers and wife, Alicia; step-sons, Aaron Christian and wife, Ashley, Daniel Christian and Mercedes; grandchildren, Emily Powers, Willow Elizabeth Powers, General Lee Caleb Powers, Scarlette Powers, Isabella Powers, Strider Powers, Cianna, Kylie, Jaython, Khole, Braxton and Addline Christian and one on the way; brothers, Cecil Powers, Vernon Powers and wife, Kathy; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronnie Bowman officiating.

Burial will be at noon on Friday, Sept. 17 in the Powers Family Cemetery (Rock Springs Road).

Harp Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of arrangements.
