Mary Dowell Obituary

Mary Edna Dowell, age 67, of Jacksboro, passed away Saturday, March 11.

She was a member of East Jacksboro Baptist Church where she loved the ladies Sunday School Class and was retired from Caryville-Jacksboro Utilities after 38 years.

She is preceded in death by parents, William Richard and Shirley Ann Richardson Dowell; grandparents, Condy and Mary Richardson, Pryor and Lassie Dowell.

She is survived by cousins, Melissa Dowell, Bernice Miller, Hilda Green, Don Gaylor, Vicky Richardson Edmonds, Michael Richardson and Lisa Giton; aunts and uncles, Patsy and James Davis, Janet and Bobby Wormsley, Gloria Sue Wilson, Georgia Richardson, Alice Richardson, Judy Todd, Franklin Richardson; special friends, Brenda Shelton, Harvey Turner, Katie Turner, Ray Davis and Genella Sweat, Jennifer and Jamie Brown; and a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.

Family received friends Tuesday, March 14, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home, and the funeral serviced followed in Cross-Smith Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Vanover and the Rev. George Asbury officiated.

Family and friends met Wednesday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceeded to Campbell Memorial Gardens for interment.
