Mr. David Ellis Sherrer, 52, of Swansboro, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at UNC Hospital. David was a long time resident of LaGrange, Ga. He was born November 21, 1962 in Charlotte, North Carolina, son of the late Mildred and Emory Sherrer of LaGrange, Ga. He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon J. Sherrer of Temple, Georgia.
David was the founder of Qchair's Traveler, a non-profit to aide those with disabilities have more active lives.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Rebecca Pickens of Mansfield, GA; grandchildren, Joseph and Aubrie Pickens, sister and brother-in-law Susan and Ron Lipham of Smyrna, TN and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mr. David Sherrer to the Wounded Warrior Fund, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
