Ruby Powers Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Pearl Powers, 88, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at West Georgia Health, LaGrange.
Ruby was born April, 23, 1926, in LaGrange, the loving daughter of Clarence and Alean Knighton. She was retired from Duracell, after working many years as a packer.
Mrs. Ruby was survived by her two sons, Mitchell Reid and Alan Powers and daughter-in-law Kim Powers; brother Robert and wife Anne Knighton; grandson, Mitch Reid; great-grandsons, Joseph Reid and Daniel Reid; and special friends, Susan Reid and Sherry Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilton Powers and brother, Clarence Knighton.
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. So sorry for your loss. She was a lovely person and she tolerated us as teenagers and always welcomed us. She was my second mother and the best. Will be missed by all.
