Arlene A. Anderson: 64 years old of Antioch, IL passed away unexpectedly Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL. She was born January 24, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the late Eugene "Butch" and Vernice (Coyhis) Youngs, living in Milwaukee, WI before settling in Antioch in 1973. Arlene proudly served in the US Army, where she met her soon to be husband LeRoy Anderson, who she married January 16, 1971 in Milwaukee, WI. Arlene had worked for 20 years as a teacher's aide for SEDOL. She enjoyed: motorcycling, reading, taking care of her dogs, and sewing (making and donating hospital gowns for hospice). Survivors include: her husband of 44 years LeRoy; two children: Lisa (Kurt) Herner of Genoa City, WI and Lukas (Susan) Anderson of Lake Villa, IL; five grandchildren: Kaden, Maddax, and Linken Herner and Quintin and Jameson Anderson; three siblings: Jean Breuer, Michael (Cindy) Youngs, and Frank (Sharon) Youngs all of Wisconsin; her loving companions: GeeGee, Snugs, and Semo; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Sandy, and brother-in-laws Ronnie and Donald. Visitation will be held from 4PM until 8PM Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002, with a prayer service at 7PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Petropolis Adoptions 1714 N. North Ave. McHenry, IL 60050 are appreciated in Arlene's memory.
