Charlyne A. Mahnich Charlyne A. Mahnich, 95, resident of Gurnee, IL passed away on September 18, 2010. She was born March 30, 1915 in Fremont, Nebraska and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waukegan. Charlyne is survived by her loving daughter, Valorie (former husband Richard) Brock; 4 grandchildren, Pamela (George) Hinkforth, Jeffrey (Lil) Felts, Patrick (Nancy) Brock and Steven (Jackie) Brock; 7 great-grandchildren, Joyce, Kayla, Haley, Sydney, Jake, Alex and Nathan; 3 nephews, Wayne Taylor, Robert Rhoads and Marlin Taylor; one niece, Diane Rhoads; and the Sorensen families of Lillian Carter, Sharon Norland, Carol Hitchler, Donna Smith, Judy Liberty, Sue Harmsen and Jay Sorensen. Preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Maude Rhoads; 3 brothers, Floyd, Eston and Biff; first husband, George Jacobs; second husband, John Mahnich and third husband Jim Sorensen; and son Jim Felts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23 from 9 to 11am with funeral following at 11am at First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. Waukegan, IL. Entombment at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
