Glenn Emanuelson Obituary
He is survived by his wife Jannis McElroy, of 56 years; three sons: Gary (Shavon) of Zion, Lon (Sue) Ephriam, WI, David (Shannon), Pleasant Prairie, WI; two daughters: Linda DiAnni, Sister Bay, WI, Gloria, Beverly Hills, CA; ten grandchildren: Sharri (Bob) Stengele, Jonathon, Christine, Hans, Erik, Jenny, Robbie, Dominic, Glenn and Liz; two brothers: Howard, Beach Park, Kenneth, Siloam Springs, AR; two sisters: Bette Tjader, Zion, Muriel Green, Ripon, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Ethel Emanuelson.
He was a Veteran of WWII. He and his brother Howard owned the Emanuelson Construction Co. for over 40 years; also owned and operated the Emanuelson Inn with his wife for 17 years. They moved to Door County 12 years ago and built a lovely Norwegian home designed by Lon, their son, an architect, and built by Gary, their contractor son. Their home was always open to family and friends. Their former Pastor Roger Ottersen and wife Gaylune, from Sun City, AZ, were guests last summer. They also surprised Glenn and Jannis at his 80th Birthday, hosted by their son and wife, David and Shannon, in their new home in Pleasant Prairie.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 1:00 p.m. at The Bethel Baptist Church, Ellison Bay, WI, with Pastor Gordon Wood officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. Jannis Emanuelson

Dear Emmanuelson Family: I just wanted to send my condolences to you on your loss. I didn't know Glenn, but I went to high school with David and my mom had been friends with Ethel Emmanuelson. I understand what you are going through for I have lost my father in law and my husband's grandmother within the last four months. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Take care.
