Leslie Jaffe, age 67, formerly of Skokie, passed away in Libertyville on August 23rd, 2021. Beloved sister of Nancy Jaffe-Faloona (Dave), Bob Jaffe, and the late Steven Jaffe; loving auntie of Chelsey, Eli, Natalie, Christopher (Leana), and Alexis; treasured great-auntie of Micah and Lucas. Leslie was a gentle soul, was kind, and had a wildly imaginative spirit. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and knitter, baked incredible banana bread, and was a voracious reader. Leslie adored her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. Memorial services for vaccinated individuals only will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 12:00 PM, at Shalom Memorial, 1700 Rand Road in Arlington Heights. Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Chicago www.catholiccharities.net

Leslie was my first cousin and we had such great times when we were little girls. At every family party and holiday at our Grandma and Grandpa's house on Campbell in Chicago and then on Greenwood in Skokie after 1960, Leslie and I would crowd into Grandma's tiny bathroom with the whirlpool and put on make-up with moistened cotton pads and laugh and laugh hysterically. Then we would go into Grandma's closet and try on and walk around in her fancy (size 5) high heels. When we were young teens there were many sleepovers at her house in Skokie talking about boys late at night and daytime shopping trips to Oakton Street. Leslie had an infectious laugh and appreciated the absurd. She had a generous spirit, was always interested in new things and was a very caring person. I'll remember her always with love.
