Nicholas Mihael Obituary

Nicholas Mihael, age 80, of Gurnee, passed away peacefully in Hospice Care on Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Advocate Condell Hospital, Libertyville, Illinois. Nick was preceded in death by his parents Euthimios and Kalliope Mihael and brother George Mihael. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy nee Hotson, son Nicholas H., daughter Kathleen (Keith) Yavitt, sisters-in-law Mary Hotson and Jean Mihael, three grandchildren and three nieces and nephews. After high school graduation, military service, and graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology, Nick pursued a successful sales and marketing career in the printing industry, retiring from Printing Arts, Inc., in 1998. After his "formal" retirement he continued to work as President of his graphic arts company Promotion Systems up to the time of his death. Nick was a good friend and mentor to many, generous with his time and knowledge. Nick will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services will be private. My condolences to a kind and caring man. Even as a competitor years ago Nick still took time to meet with me and be a special mentor. May he rest in peace.
