Oscar L. Gray Oscar L. Gray age 66 of Waukegan, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday September 6, 2009 at the V.A. Hospital after fighting a long battle of illness. He was born on March 13, 1943 in Boyle, MS. He served his country as a sergeant with the U.S. Army. Oscar leaves to cherish his precious memory a life long loving wife, Dorothy Gray; a devoted daughter, Debra Gully of Kenosha, Wl; two step-children, Doris Edwards of Round Lake, IL and Pauletta Johnson of Waukegan, IL; three grandchildren. Lamar (Jennifer) Johnson of St. Mary, GA, Lakendriks T. Gully and Kiara Holden both of Kenosha, WI; 18 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Prestwood of Beverly Hills CA; and Delores (Ahuvah) Gray of Israel, one brother, Ezra (Paula) Buckner of Chicago, IL; seven sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and dear friends; one best friend, Irvin Catherine. Oscar was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sylvester and Christine Gray; one brother, Rennie Bucker; two step-children, Calvin and Cathy Johnson and one step-grandson, David Page. Home going services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Jesus Name Apostolic Church 208 Lake Street in Waukegan, IL. Pastor John I. Caples Jr., Lawrence Larkins Officiating.
