Patrick Serzynski Obituary
Pat is survived by his wife, Kimberley (nee Nelson) and son Patrick Donald Serzynski, brother Dave Serzynski (Cindy), sister Lynn Falotico, brothers-in-law David and Johnny Nelson, nieces and nephews Matthew, Bryan (Jenna) and Nick Serzynski, Dillon and Hunter Falotico, Donny Nelson, Nicolette Nelson and Sabrina (Tommy) Reed, and several great nieces and nephews.
Pat and Kim just celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage in September. They had endless adventures, mishaps and cherished times. Pat's greatest joy was his son Patrick and being a dad, from teaching him how to fish and hunt, being his floor hockey coach, working alongside each other on cars, and too many more precious moments to list.
He was preceded in death by his father Patrick Serzynski and brother and sister-in-law Don and Sheryl Nelson.
Pat joined IBEW Local Union150 as an apprentice and had 38 years of service as an electrician, retiring as the Local Union150 Business Manager in 2022.
Pat was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, four wheeling and any other outdoor adventure that came his way.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the friends, neighbors, relatives and community for their love and support, especially the Fourth Lake Hunt Club, the search and rescue teams of the departments of: Lake Villa, Antioch, Fox Lake, Round Lake, Grayslake, Countryside, Wauconda, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Libertyville, the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Illinois DNR.
In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials may be made to the following organizations: Lake Villa Fire Protection District, Mutual Aid Box Alarm System Specialized Response Team (MABAS-Divisions 4 & 5), and the ILLWIS Search and Rescue Dogs.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the Shanty Restaurant in Wadsworth, Illinois on Sunday, November 5 from 5-8 PM.
