Richard Shinsky Obituary

Richard L. Shinsky, 82, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2015. He served his country during the Korean War as an army veteran and worked at US Steel Mill for many years. Richard loved the game of golf and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his children; Sheri (Jerry) Bishop, Susan Metzger, Pamela (B.J.) Clauser, Phillip Strong and Alicia (Greg) Brant; 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Alex, Alan, Brittany, Kelly and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mary Shinsky; brother, Lester and sister, Helen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 1 to 3pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, Ilinois 60031.
