Clifford Canty Obituary

Clifford Canty, III, passed away at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California, on November 1, 2025. Clifford was born on July 22, 1951, to Arlena James and Clifford Canty, II. Both parents and a brother, George Foster precedes him in death.
Clifford graduated from Richardson High School with the class of 1969. He was an outstanding football player, receiving the Golden Helmet award for "Offensive Player of the year" in 1969.
After graduation, Clifford attended Tampa Technical Institute to pursue a career in drafting. After thirteen months he decided to enlist in the United States Navy where he served for greater than 15 years. After his active duty, he became the project manager on the Naval Base. Clifford was an active member of the Shriner's Council. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed traveling all over the Country in his RV Camper twice a year with friends, but his most treasured times were spent with his family.
Clifford leaves precious memories with his wife of 25 years, Leah Canty; children, Bianca Nicole Burns (Corey), Clifford "Little Clifford" Canty IV, LaTina Canty McKinnon, Deenica Canty Bowling; grandchildren, Jasmin, Alinah, Jay, Jordan, Sophia; siblings, Fred Parker, Michale Jones, Lorraine Jerry and Fay Mcintosh; Richardson High School Class of 1969; hosts of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services for Clifford Canty, III will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Richardson Community Center, 255 NE Coach Anders Ln. Lake City, FL.
