Della Antonia 'Toni' Cabe
Della Antonia 'Toni' Cabe, age 53, of Lake City, Florida passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at Suwannee Valley Care Center with her loving family by her side. Toni was born in Grove Hill, Alabama on June 18, 1972, to the late Ralph McHaney and Betty Powell Harless. She was raised in White Springs, Florida and later in life earned her degree from Santa Fe College where she studied radiology. Toni was passionate about helping others and intrigued by healthcare and imaging. She served several years as an MRI Technician at Shands Lake Shore Hospital before retiring. Toni was a very special soul. She was everyone's 'person'. If you ever needed a voice of guidance, reassurance, or strength- she was it. Although Toni faced a long health battle, she never let it define her. She sought out joy, peace, and Christ. She thoroughly enjoyed attending Welcome CHC where she praised and worshipped her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Toni was a beautiful woman- a true embodiment of strength, courage, unconditional love, and resilience. She danced and sang with her loved ones, reminisced her youth with such pride, seized each day in the best way she could. The most special part about her is that everyone whose life she touched knew a different version of her with a surplus of incredible memories to go with it. She gave all of us a piece of her that will live forever. She was a fearless mother. The way Toni loved her children was a force to be reckoned with. They are the joys of her life, and she made sure everyone knew how proud she was of them. We can all honor Toni by encompassing her spirit- choose joy, hope, love, and rejoice the days we've been given. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph McHaney; grandparents, Gessnar & Esther Stafford Powell; stepfather, Harold Harless; brother, Daryl McHaney; sister, Debbie Deas; nephew, Colton McHaney; along with other loved ones.
Toni is survived by her children, Grace (Nicolas) Harry and Luke Cabe; mother, Betty Powell Harless; siblings, Sheila (Monroe) Dunaway, Sharon McHaney, Sherry (Jamie) Blankenship, Dwayne (Mellissa) McHaney, Leonard (Sally) McHaney, Mary (Jerry) Anderson, and Ann (Donny) Petty; grandchildren, Noah & Lucas Krause; along with several extended family members and friends.
"I bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived. I'll see you in my dreams." From your loving children
