John Espenship Obituary

With heavy heart, we announce the passing of John "Jack" Espenship on April 11, 2020, a beloved father to Jeffrey Espenship and Johnny Espenship (who preceded his father's passing in April of 1995).
Jack was born March 9, 1939 in Miami, FL where is father, Dewilton Brook Espenship, was a contractor and built many of the hotels and high rises in South Beach.
Jack along with his family moved to Lake City in in 1952, where he became a football standout at Columbia High School and also was a star player at Florida State University. He went on to play 3 years in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Allouettes.
After his football career, Jack called Lake City home. Like his father before him, Jack was a well known contractor in Lake City who abundantly contributed to the lifestyle of all he came to know in his 50 plus years of living in Lake City.
Though Jack has departed this world, his indomitable spirit lives on in the stories we share, and the memories we hold. May he rest peacefully as he happily reunites with his oldest son Johnny, and the rest of his family in heaven.
