Robert Eisenhower Ransome, 77
Robert Eisenhower Ransome passed away at his home in Lakeview, Oregon on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.
Robert was born on Oct. 1, 1948, to Olden and Margaret (Hawkins) Ransome in Middlebrook, Virginia.
Robert worked last in construction as a carpenter's helper. Robert has driven a tractor trailer, worked on an oil platform, and served in the National Guard. Robert would work any job necessary to make sure that all was taken care of.
Robert was very thoughtful, kind and generous. Robert is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He lived a successful, happy life, full of love, family and good friends. Robert will be missed very much by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by Joyce Cheeseman, his loving companion. He leaves behind his daughter TaNiesha Smith and his grandson Tayzsaun Smith, in Colorado. He is also survived by his sister Lila White of Churchville, Virginia, and his sister Naomi Ransome Russ of Benson, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Robert also has 10 living nieces and 10 nephews that meant a great deal to him.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lakeview, Oregon.
