ELAINE JONES Elaine Bertha Jones, age 80, of West St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home on February 23, 2025. Elaine was born on July 17, 1944, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She grew up on the East Coast before marrying Robert "Bob" Jones in 1962. Together, they moved to his hometown of Two Harbors, Minnesota, before settling in Grand Rapids in 1978. There, Elaine enjoyed life on their hobby farm and developed a love for music, learning to play the guitar and participating in the Showboat summer performances. Following Bob's passing in 1984, Elaine relocated to the St. Paul suburbs, where she spent most of her adult life. Elaine is survived by her partner, Maureen Benardella; her children, William Jones (Christine), Paula Boe (Terry), and Michelle Swanson (Rick); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones; her parents, Eugene and Rita Duchesne; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Boe. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 East 98th Street, Bloomington, MN 55420. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m., with a catered lunch onsite afterward. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Elaine's life. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed on the Atonement Lutheran Church of Bloomington YouTube Channel. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the residents and staff of Ebenezer and the Sanctuary of West St. Paul for their compassionate care and camaraderie.
