RONALD RICHARD BLAISDELL Ron spent his last few days in his happy place, camping with his beloved wife, Terry, and their two dogs, Charlie and Jack, when he passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Ron was born June 28, 1946, in Rochester, MN to Richard and Mable Blaisdell. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam from 1964-1967. In 1974, he met the love of his life, Terry (Nelson) Blaisdell, and they were married on August 16, 1975. Ron worked as store manager at Trico for 27 years. He retired from there, but kept himself busy and soon became the gaming manager and bartender of the Two Harbors Moose Lodge 1463 in 2001, where he served the community for many years. His passion of giving back to the lodge began in 1986 when he became a member. He spent countless hours working, volunteering, & fundraising. He climbed the ranks of officers, in 2003 he earned his Pilgrim degree, the highest distinction in the Moose organization. He also held numerous Officer positions for the State of Minnesota Moose Association. He retired once again but didn't slow down, becoming a volunteer driver for AEOA, transporting people to medical appointments for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed baking and cooking, camping, fishing, spending time with his family, and making people laugh. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity and deeply missed by those who love him. Ron is survived by his wife of 49 years Terry Blaisdell, children Scott (June) Blaisdell, Ann (Jesse Solem) Blaisdell, Eric (Jessica) Blaisdell, grandchildren Angel, Zack, Emma, Andrew, Rebecca, Abby and Addison, great-grandchildren Faith and Hope, and many extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Proctor Moose Lodge on Saturday, September 7th from 2 until 5pm. A Moose Tribute of Service will be held at 3pm, with a potluck to follow. Please join us in celebrating him and remembering him by bringing a dish to share and wearing a "funny or silly" shirt. A private burial will be held at a later date at Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
