Mr. Patrick James Leonard, 69, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, in Bitely, Michigan. He was at home and surrounded by loved ones. Born April 7, 1956, in Oak Park, Illinois, Patrick lived a life defined by resilience and unwavering devotion to his loved ones.
He was the beloved husband of Sandy Leonard and a proud father to Patrick Leonard II (Jamie), Terry Leonard (Krystal), and Nichole Leonard. He adored his five grandchildren Gavin, Caden, Leila, Chase, and Renezmay. His family was the heart of his world, and he remained a steady source of strength and support throughout their lives.
Patrick was also a cherished brother to Laura (the Late Charlie Brown), Michael Leonard, Danny Leonard (Wendy), and Mary Canchola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Leo Leonard.
Those who knew Patrick remember him as fun-loving, yet strong-willed. Pat was someone who did not take himself too seriously and stood firmly by others in both good times and through life's challenges. He had an enduring presence that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A viewing will be held on December 20, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Verdun Funeral Home, 585 7th St. Baldwin, MI 49304
