Rex Christian Radden, 72, of Baldwin, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, after a six-month battle with cancer. Rex was born November 21, 1951, to Robert C. Radden and Beatrice E. Radden, in Molene, Illinois. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1970. In the '70's, he moved to Texas for work, but also made furniture to sell at flea markets with his good friend Fred Yost. By the '80's, he was back in Michigan living in Lansing and joined the Michigan Carpenters Union. He worked out of that union hall until he retired and helped run Gramma's Treats with "his" Kris.
Rex was an avid fisherman & hunter, and he loved playing poker with his buddies. Rex truly loved watching his nephew Chris play every sport and his "son by choice" Casey Trucks as well.
Rex is survived by his sweetheart Kris Trucks; Casey & Kari Trucks, Tina Schutz; grandchildren Audrey & Aiden Trucks, Carter & Miles Schutz; sisters Amy Radden and Joyce Radden; nephews Robert Greenhill (Ashley), Spencer (Dawn) Greenhill and Chris (Julie) Radden; great nephew Bearin Greenhill: great nieces Autumn Greenhill, Rhett & Smith Radden; sister-in-law Cheryl Gidley; brother by another mother Ken Cox and a host of many dear dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Bea Radden and brother Chuck Radden.
Rex's wish was for a party. So, on March 2, 2024 from 1-4pm, we will be hosting a Celebration of His Life at the Hollister Senior Center located at 1505 Michigan Ave. Baldwin, MI 49304

I am so sorry for your loss Kris, Joyce, Amy and the rest of the family! Prayers for you all!! Rex was such a supper nice man! So sorry! Lost my sister 7 years ago to cancer!! Just terrible!!

Our sincere condolences, Rex was a very good guy and was always great to visit with when we came home to Baldwin to visit family and snowmobile. He will be missed. He always had a smile and a way of saying hello!!! Our thoughts and prayers with everyone in his family.
