Cecil Hendrickson Obituary
A graveside Memorial Service for longtime Lamar resident, Cecil Hendrickson was held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Fairmount Cemetery with L.D. Nelson officiating.
Per Mr. Hendrickson's request there will be no public viewing and cremation will take place.
Cecil was born on August 27, 1922 at Bristol, Colorado to Victor and Nelle (Duncan) Hendrickson and passed away on January 23, 2015 at the Holly Nursing Care Center at the age of 92.
Cecil is preceded in death by his wife; Rosella Hendrickson, parents, son; Melvin E. Hendrickson, siblings; Paul Hendrickson, Don Hendrickson, Eugene Hendrickson, Margaret Flanagan, Kathryn Gibbons and Helen Zilliox.
He is survived by his children; Richard L. (Vera) Hendrickson, H. Dean Hendrickson and Sheila (Larry) McTaggart all of Lamar. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Mikki (Kurt) Hirschler, Royce (Rae) Heck, Marla (Todd) Fierro, Billi Warren, Scott (Jessica) McTaggart and Sean (Amy) McTaggart, Eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, his brother Karl (Barbara) Hendrickson of Elkhart, KS as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Melvin Hendrickson Memorial Basketball Tournament in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
