LANCASTER: Polly Ann Mauger passed away quietly at the age of 79 on July 1, 2009 after a valiant struggle. She was an amazing woman who loved life and had a smile for everyone, especially her family who were the center of her world. The Lord chose to take home a very special lady who now rests in peace.
Polly worked for many years with her husband Jim at Maugers Seafood Restaurant. She was a member of Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Bloom, Ron (Vicki) Barker, Pam (Joe) Southers, Jim (Bev) Mauger; grandchildren, David Groff (Tammy Person), Tisha Bloom, Heather Hines (Jon Kochis) Kelly (Joe) McCord, Jennifer (Ryan) Nelson, Nicolas (Lorena) Barker, Christopher Barker, Amy Mauger; great grandchildren, Ruby, Sabin, Oliver Nelson, Ian, Madison, Morgan, Lauren Hines, Tyler, Cory Hutchins, Sydney, Grayson McCord; beloved twin brother, Paul Miller; sisters in law, Jane Weidner and Pat Hutchinson; brother in law, Sam Runco; many nieces and nephews; and faithful companion her dog, Riley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Mauger; parents, George and Rose Miller; son in law, Don Bloom; sister, Thelma Crane; brothers, Jack and Max Miller; sisters in law, Ruth Miller, Betty Miller, Mary Kilbarger and Betty Runco; brothers in law, Fred Kilbarger, Paul Hutchinson, Don Weidner and Paul Mauger.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Hail officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at Sheridan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents of LanFair for the love and compassion they showed to our mother. In addition the family would like to acknowledge FairHoPe Hospice for the comfort and care they gave Mom during her final hours.
